Challenge #1 - Finished!

Well!! Here it is!

Challenge #1 - Finished

The little pocket does actually have a tea bag in it (Guess what kind Rhi??). Totally fun to make.. it really didn't turn out at all like I had visioned but I still think it's pretty cute ;) You can see all my pictures from this challenge here.

Can't wait for the next challenge.. I wonder what it will be!!

Challenge #1 Results

My mother's birthday is coming up in a few short weeks, so my entry for this challenge was inspired by that, as was our overall "Yellow" theme, because it's her favourite colour. The colour theme was the most difficult part of this challenge for me, because yellow is NOT my favourite colour, and I had very very little to work with in terms of my own supplies.

Stamping was my main focus for this card, because I got two really nice stamp sets around Christmastime. The design is loosely based on a card in a book my mother sent me last week--I borrowed the "Happy" inset from it, but the rest is pretty much my own.

Challenge #1 - Tara's Supplies

psssst.. I'm done ;) And with almost a week to spare!! (don't get used to that! I'm pretty sure I'll be cutting it close on most of the deadlines!) Anyway.. So as not to spoil the surprise I'm not going to post my finished product yet - but here's my supplies!

Challenge #1 Supplies

Let's see.. We've got yellow card stock, patterned paper, scissors, glue, my coluzzle knife, colluzzle templates (envelope, tag, circle), some ribbon, corner punch and round punch (round punch not in picture), and some glue dots.

I think that's just about it!
hmmmm.. ;)

Challenge #1 - The beginning!

I am so excited! As soon as Rhi mentioned her idea I started getting jittery.. I mean seriously! This is right up my alley!

As we are easing our way into this whole process we decided to start with something fairly simple and where we both had the supplies on hand.

Here we go!

Craft: Card making
Theme: N/A
Colours: Yellow (yellow must be the main focus colour but other colours may be used as well)
Size: Depends how big your envelope is ;)
Supplies that must be used: No limits! (easing in remember!)
Supplies that must not be used: (something about elephants?)
Techniques: N/A
Sketch/Pattern/Tutorial: N/A
Completion Deadline: Saturday March 15, 2008.

Like Rhi said, we'll be documenting as we go here and on flickr so check in to see the progress!
